Recently, Healthy Mothers Healthy Babies partnered with DPHHS, The Montana Institute and the University of Washington School of Medicine to conduct a study about the effects of Positive Childhood Experiences. These are the "other side of the coin" of ACES, Adverse Childhood Experiences.
The National Alliance for Children’s Grief (NACG) is proud to announce our inaugural six-state Regional Conference tour entitled “No Child Grieves Alone.” Co-hosted locally by Tamarack Grief Resource Center. OPI and other credits available.
Three leading voices in the field of childhood bereavement, Dr. Tashel Bordere, Dr. Michaeleen Burns, and Dr. Donna Schuurman, at six locations across the United States, will connect us in honor of the children we collectively serve. This conference, and all the sessions, are suited for counselors, social workers, bereavement support professionals, and volunteers and are targeted at those new and experienced in the field of childhood grief and loss. Sessions include: Centering Culture and Equity in Youth Bereavement and Grief Support; Childhood Bereavement Prevalence - the Story Behind the Numbers; and Meeting the Needs of Children, Teens and Adults who are grieveing - 12 Takeaways from 35 years of Bereavement Work.
