The Smile of Hope Dental Program provides grants of up to $2,000 to qualifying women who have no access to dental care.

“Our goal is to improve these women’s lives and livelihood by providing this opportunity to improve their dental health and self-esteem,” said Joanie Sorensen, Soroptimist of Whitefish Smile of Hope committee founding member in a 2017 interview.

“The committee works with Dental Partners to provide necessary care within the limits of each grant”, Sorensen said. In addition to a cleaning, X-ray and plan for restoration and care, each recipient will receive a Sonicare toothbrush and education for dental care. Dental Partners also provide a six-month follow-up examination.
