Join The Nurturing Center’s Blue Ribbon Event Thursday, April 27th, 3-7pm, Flathead County Fairgrounds Expo Building! FREE food, games, prizes, & fun for the whole family! Celebrating Strengthening Families Month with support from the Montana Children's Fund.
Healthy Beginnings Pediatric Therapy is hosting a picky eating skill group for 5-11 year olds focusing on development of eating + positive food experiences on Mondays from 5:00-6:30 PM (4-week session from Apr 17-May 8) with time to ask questions and connect with other parents and professionals about tips + tricks until 7:00pm at 55 Heritage Way, Kalispell. Parents can join in to gain hands-on tools! Take-home handouts will be provided each week. This skill group is facilitated by Jenni Kingan (Speech-Language Pathologist, M.S., CCC-SLP), who has 15 years of experience as a feeding and swallowing specialist and has worked in a variety of settings with many tools to help benefit children and families. On Friday, February 17 from 9AM-12 noon, at Glacier Gateway Developmental Preschool, Columbia Falls School District 6 will be offering free developmental screenings for children 0-5. Screenings will cover areas including: hearing, vision, motor skills, speech language, thinking skills, social awareness, and independence skills. If you have any questions or concerns about your child's development, make an appointment for a free developmental screening at 406-892-6540 ext 2105.
On Thursday, April 27th, 3- 7 pm, The Nurturing Center will be hosting our annual Blue Ribbon Child Abuse Prevention Celebration at Flathead County Fairgrounds, Expo Building. We hope your organization will wear blue and join us in creating a community event with food, music and family fun, while standing together against child abuse. There will be FREE FOOD and EVERYONE in our community is invited. We’ll once again be making our Human Blue Ribbon to demonstrate our commitment to the prevention of child abuse.
We encourage your group to bring a children’s activity. Coloring sheets, games, giveaways, mascots, & balloons are just a few ideas. Be creative! Let’s make this a fun, colorful, extravaganza for families. The Nurturing Center is asking that you provide your own tables for this event. If you do not have a table, please feel free to reach out and we will provide one.
